Our practices committed to the environment

The Navarra Group's strategic priority for sustainable development is:

  • Preservation of natural resources (soil, air and water resources);
  • The rational and efficient use of raw materials;
  • The reduction of waste resulting from production;
  • Recycling and/or valorising waste and saving energy.

Integrated into the Environmental Responsibility strategy is an energy efficiency plan

  • Aimed at optimising resources, namely the reformulation and replacement of various pieces of equipment with more efficient ones;
  • Taking advantage of certain energy conditions to reduce energy consumption;
  • Implementation of automatic control measures.

We recognise that carbon neutrality is essential for competitiveness and for the future of our business, which is why we invest in technologically green solutions that protect the environment and a more sustainable society.

There are several environmentally responsible measures applied to our industry:

Solar Panels
350,000.00 has been invested in solar technology with the installation of 1,250 photovoltaic panels of 240W each at the Group's headquarters.

  • UPAC - self-consumption production unit - on average avoids emissions of 37,703.75 KgCO2 / month - absorption equivalent to 1713 trees.
  • Photovoltaic plant that produces energy sold to the grid, thus avoiding CO2 emissions as it does not use fossil fuels.

Matrix plant
Replacement of the 10,000 litre soda tank with more advanced spill control technologies and an associated gas scrubber to eliminate diffuse emissions (release of particles) throughout the supply.

Anodising
In parallel with the matrix plant, this section uses the same type of tanks for soda and sulphuric acid. The same type of system was also installed for these two tanks.
Two systems have been implemented in the treatment vats to capture and treat the diffuse emissions produced. Everything is then sent to a gas scrubber which eliminates them.
Also in terms of the treatments in this section, a new chemical solution was found that made it possible to reduce the temperature used in the bath, which made it possible to reduce energy consumption and condensation emissions.

Machining and Thermal Break
We recently replaced the roof of these two sections. Priority was given to the use of translucent panels to increase the use of natural light and also promote thermal comfort for employees and a consequent reduction in energy consumption.

Waste treatment
Navarra has a 650m2 ecocenter that allows you to receive and sort all your waste. All waste generated is sent to this space where it is correctly packaged and subsequently sent to licensed waste management operators. Additionally, all paper, cardboard and plastic packaging is pressed in order to reduce its volume for packaging in the container, reducing the number of transports.

Rainwater
Since Navarra is located in a region privileged by rainwater, it invested in the implementation of a water management plan. In addition to all the analysis and management carried out in its monitoring, tanks were installed to capture all rainwater for subsequent use in cleaning, irrigation, treatments, among others.

Fleet
We favor 100% electric cars and other plug-in hybrids.

We favor environmentally responsible suppliers
